Ever order anything on Amazon and disappointed when your package drops on your doorstep hours later? The beautiful model wearing the flowing top you really want and think will look great on you is tight and you look nothing like that skinny, young model? I have! So reading this morning about what will happen in the future gives me hope and comfort.

Then the angel said to me, “Everything you have heard and seen is trustworthy and true (emphasis, mine). The Lord God, who inspires his prophets, has sent his angel to tell his servants what will happen soon (Revelation 22:6 NLT).

The quote above is from the last chapter of the Bible. The end of the Book brings me hope. Right now, our world is in flames. Fighting and fear. Anger and disruption. But one day, it won’t be that way. One day.

In the meantime, we continue to spread the word about the hope that we can have in Christ.

A verse that has meant so much to me in good times and hard times is this:

Who is in your life and needs hope? Are they ill and may not get better? Are they grieving the loss of a loved one? Do they not know about Jesus, who loves them so much he died for them? Are you a caregiver for a spouse or someone you care deeply about and you are weary? Take heart! Look at the Book that is trustworthy and true.

Remember. His words are trustworthy and true.

Just like the last chapter and book in the Bible gives hope, listen to Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus. It is talking about that future time…It gives me chills–and excitement. I hope it does you, too.
