Face Your Fears
After a day or so, we began to look at that accident as a miracle from God. Only the night before the accident, my husband installed a roll bar to protect the driver and passenger from serious injury if the car was overturned with its soft roadster top.
Simple Beauty
We don’t miss opportunities to tell one another we love each other. We nearly always kiss goodbye when the other one goes on an errand. We don’t leave apologies unsaid. We’ve learned how quickly things can change and we may not have another chance.

Take a Hike!
Hiking now brings back happy memories and time for contemplation. Most of the time I enjoy it, but I must confess, I’m happier when I reach the summit and not while I’m huffing and puffing up the trail.
Moving Forward
That statement is true, dear friend who might be in the early stages of grief. The terrible times will ease. Your sorrow does abate. It doesn’t fully leave you, but that terrible grip of the sorrow begins to fade. It takes time, yes. But more than time, it takes work.

At The Cliburn–In Texas

For The Graduates
This week, we sat and reminisced as we waited in the crowded arena for the graduates to file in. We listened to speeches. We waited for his name to be called. At last we hear it: Austyn James Mozena. Grandchild number six to complete high school.
