It has been a busy time for me and I just sent off a manuscript to my editor to read. Instead of writing today, I’m going to share some photos of our beautiful world through my eyes.

I’ve been fortunate to have traveled to many places. I’ve seen cathedrals in Europe. Thousands of grave markers in Normandy. I was in awe when we approached the harbor in Sydney, Australia and saw the opera house the first time. In our own country, I’ve seen bridges across large spans of water and wonder how they were built. But most amazing to me is nature. I’d like to share a little of God’s creation from the spring months.

First we enjoy the early blossoms. Aren’t they fantastic?

Then in May, another crop of flowers make their way into our vision:

I can’t help myself when we stroll through the neighborhood with our dog, Rudy. I sniff the roses, admire the spicy smell of the iris, so delicate and perfect.

Then the summer flowers that bloom all season and provide bouquets for my table.

Many mornings I get up early and am rewarded with a sunrise that takes my breath away:

I haven’t begun to show sights I’ve seen on top of mountains, but here’s one that was an easy climb–we rode a tram to the top of Mt. Howard in eastern Oregon:

Late May, there are harvests:

Stark rocky cliffs

Rippling water at a campsite:

Finally, a sunset at the beach:

Monuments and statues, skyscrapers, castles, and cathedrals capture our attention, but I think creation by a Creative God is even better.

I hope you’ve enjoyed a few of the sights I’ve seen. You can enjoy them usually right outside your door. Where I live, it’s going to be a beautiful day. Go out and check out the flowers near you. I’m sure there are many to feast your eyes on.

Thanks for joining me today.
