Emergency

I understand our emergency 911 was shutdown and not available for sure in the state of Washington last night. I heard the notice on one of our cell phones. It said: “Alert, 911 not available–use this number if you experience an emergency.” The number to use was provided.

Write down promises.

A few weeks ago, I was inspired by a writer who recommended to personalize promises in the Bible. He said to start with the Psalms. So the past few weeks I’ve been doing just that. I started with Psalm 1 and have been working through this book, writing down different promises for me. For my children and grandchildren. For my dear Jim. This morning, though I read Psalm 46. Wow. There’s a lot in that chapter. Here are a few of the promises:

  • God is our refuge and strength. Always ready to help.
  • The LORD of Heaven’s Army is here among us. The God of Israel is our fortress
  • Be still and know that I am God!
  • The LORD of Heaven’s Army is here among us.

The promise of the LORD of Heaven’s Army was repeated so I repeated it too. This new year, I am planning to continue to harvest gems among the psalms and personalize it for me or mine.

Today I can say:

  1. God is Shirley’s refuge and strength. He is always ready to help.
  2. The LORD of Heaven’s Army is here in the Mozena home. The God of Israel are Shirley and Jim’s fortress.
  3. Shirley needs to be still and know that I am God. What more do I need?

Let me know….

If you decide to do what I plan to do this year and write down promises with your name or a loved one’s name, let me know. I love it when you comment on the blog. If you scroll down and write a comment on the blog page, others can see your comments and be encouraged by them.

Be still…..

In the meantime, enjoy the last few days of 2018. We don’t know what’s in store for any of us in 2019, but we can know and be still.

Don’t forget—“Be still”.
