I’m sitting in the dining room of a rented house. My side of the family is celebrating Thanksgiving together this weekend. Here’s the view from where I sit.

We’ve been reading A Year in the Psalms together these past months. Today’s reading was the latter half of Psalm 144.

I will sing a new song to you, O God!/I will sing your praises…(verse 9)

Preacher F.B. Meyer (1847-1929) said this:

New songs are demanded by new mercies. Let us give God freshly broken loaves for his table.

I’m looking forward to releasing a new book co-authored with my husband, Jim this coming year. This will be our newest song, freshly broken loaves for his table.

From the back of the book-yet-to-be-published:

Finding a loving partner later in life takes some careful thought and study. This is a step not to be taken lightly…

The year is drawing to a close. December will be here on Sunday. We look forward to celebrating our sixth wedding anniversary. Christmas. New Year’s.

Enjoy the last days of November. December’s coming!
