Sometimes we come across phrases that irritate us. Perhaps the statement above is not what you want to hear. Your life at this point is very difficult. You are grieving loss and you don’t think you want to continue to live.
God ordained my days….
I can remember having thoughts as I tossed in bed, that perhaps I didn’t need to live any longer. My children were raised. They were happy and healthy. Successful in their careers and busy with their own households. Why did I need to live any longer? I just wanted to be in heaven with my loved ones. Two husbands. A baby. My parents, grandparents. But I was reminded that God ordained my days and knew them before I ever met anyone. It was in Psalms 139:16
Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
He collects your tears!
I was reminded God knew my distress and sadness and even collected my tears in a bottle! (Psalm 56:8)
You keep track of all my sorrows.
You have collected all my tears in your bottle.
You have recorded each one in your book.
We have our own history..
I will not die; instead, I will live.
What’s your goal in going to heaven?
Ask God to help you live.

Another promise…
