Every Friday morning, I get up early, sit in my white wicker chair with a soft light over my shoulder, my cup of coffee right next to me, a journal and pen in hand, and I read my Bible. Of course every day I read it, but this day is different–it’s blog day.

After I read, I pray and ask God to give me words for my writing. Often the words don’t come until I put my fingers to the keyboard. But today, I confess I am stuck! I have tried at least four times with a different theme to write and it hasn’t come!

So instead of putting out my words,  I’ll share words that bring me comfort, security, and joy from the Psalms:

Trust in the Lord and do good;
    dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
 Take delight in the Lord,
    and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him and he will do this (Psalm 37: 3-5).

I’m going to think about this passage and ask, How can I trust and delight in the Lord?

I hope you will join me in thinking about that. Please write back in the comments below what you learn.
