Enjoy the day after Thanksgiving. Feast again on the left-overs from yesterday's Thanksgiving meal. Put up your decorations for Christmas if that is your custom. And give thanks. The eternal battle is won!
We often say we are standing on the shoulders of our previous mates. Our previous marriages have benefitted this marriage.
I was helped by turning to God's word instead of man's word and I was encouraged! I'm still concerned how this election turns out. We still must pray and I will. Will you join me? And please, take the time to vote and be informed.
God made you so you could share in His creation.
Is that what we do in life? Keep watching in vain for the perfect shot? For something that most likely won't happen? Instead of just enjoying the beauty right in front of us?
We can trust our Maker. We can only do what we're commanded to do: trust, not knowing the future, and let Him carry us in his arms......Like the shepherd who often carries the lamb.
That is true with grief. At one point--perhaps a longer time than you would like, you will get to the other side of grief. I can tell you it's true, for I've been there.
I don't remember his words, but sensed calm assurance and willingness to talk and pray with us.
We don't know what's around the next corner, but we do know who will carry and deliver us. That's a promise for you, too.
